This course is delivered over five consecutive days and includes ‘train the trainer’ and in-depth manual handling. For those who deliver training it is very important to be competent in the subject they teach and to be able to deliver the training in a professional manner. This course covers both of those objectives.
Manual handling is a requirement in all working environments to some extent. Those who carry out manual handling tasks regularly are at risk of suffering from muscular-skeletal injury and employers have a legal duty to prevent this happening or to reduce the risk ‘so far as is reasonably practicable’. Making sure your employees are well trained reduces the risk of injuries occurring. Having an employee trained to be able to deliver this training in-house is a cost effective way of ensuring training is on-going. There are moral, legal and financial arguments why it’s not acceptable to suffer an injury because harm at work.
