NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management
The Nebosh Environmental Certificate is designed to give management an understanding of Environmental issues in the workplace. This is an increasing responsibility placed on organisations and one that needed to be managed effectively. This is a taught course that runs one day per week for five weeks followed by an Examination.
It is becoming increasingly important to preserve and protect our environment from harmful impact. If you would like to make a positive contribution to your Environmental Management System, this course would be a step in the right direction.
What does the qualification cover?
It covers the practical issues of managing environmental risk. The syllabus takes a risk management approach based on the best practice and international industry standards, including:
• Environmental Management Systems and Impact Assessments
• Sources and use of energy and energy efficiency
• Control of pollution
• Planning for and dealing with environmental emergencies.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management consists of two units; each separately assessed:
• Management and control of environmental hazards (EMC1)
• Environmental practical application (EMC2)
The qualification assessments are made up of an online open book exam and a practical assignment
